ELA:
There is no formal homework this week.  I would like the students to read.  If there is internet available, they can also work on their writing.  This writing piece is due Friday, November 4th. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!  Oh, and they can always read their Scholastic Scope magazines.
Math:
Number project is due on Friday, December 4th.
No science or social studies.

ELA: 
Revise your chosen piece by adding "In Your Head Thinking".
Remember what I did to my Urgent Care piece?
Example:    My finger exploded once he gave me the shot. It felt so weird.
Revised sentence: Once the first shot was done, my finger felt like it was going to explode.  I don't know how I am going to get through this, I thought.  The feeling was creepy and was making sweat and shake.
Science: 
Study for your molecule test.

Grammar: Minute 24
Writing: Continue to fill in your chart we started in class.
Science: There is a vocabulary quiz this Thursday.  STUDY!!!!!
Math:  5 things you noticed and 3 questions
Read!!!!!  Do this last in case you have spent 50 minutes on everything else.  5th grade = about 50 minutes of homework according to homework guidelines.  However, frustration should not occur.  Let your child's teacher know if homework became frustrating and why.  A note or email works great.
Please bring in the permission slip for our Wednesday Field Trip.
Notices are going home today asking for donations towards the Thanksgiving baskets.  Our class is responsible for donating 2 cans of Cranberry Sauce.
