Tomorrow we are going to be making compost with Brian Jerose so please dress appropriately. Which means no opened toed shoes. Have your child wear clothes and shoes they do not mind getting dirty.

Reading: Finish the first chapter of your ecological mystery.  Reread it if you need to.  You will write a summary of the first chapter tomorrow.

Last week we started planning the outdoor garden by the high tunnel.  Every student created a garden based on the square footage of 1,595 sq. ft.  Yesterday and today we staked it out and cleaned it up!  We are also starting our Water Unit.  We will focus on the Lake Champlain Basin.  Students were able to choose from 4 Ecological Mysteries written by Jean Craighead George.  They read the first chapters today. They were so quiet and involved in their books!   Below are some videos of what we have been doing and a link to Jean Craighead George's website.
